A Medigap plan is a supplemental health insurance policy which extends the amount of health insurance for Medicare eligible recipients.  A supplemental  health plan is an additional Medicare plan on top of the Original Part A & Part B.  Medigap is provided by private health insurance companies.  A supplemental or Medigap plan provides additional coverage to healthcare deficiencies that you may be exposed to under the Original Medicare Part A & B.  Within the Medigap policy, there are 10 different standard plans.  With Medicare and a Supplemental policy you will have little to no out of pocket expenses.
